I’m not sure why you would be facing issues when simply switching things over to descending. It only alters the one parameter in the WP_Query that gets run.

What theme are you using? What other plugins do you have installed?

I can try and set up a test instance to see if I can reproduce the issue.

    Thanks,
    Evan

I tried different things now and it turns out that out of my 10 “announcements” 4 break the page and other 6 do not. so when I change the status of those 4 announcements into Drafts, the page is okay, but if I publish them, the page breaks.

I am trying to find what these 4 posts have in common to locate the issue. I don’t think it’s a Theme (the timeline breaks on all themes) or Plugin (this is a fresh WP installation and I only use 1 plugin -Jobs Manager) problem.

I tried and tested several things and turns out the date of the announcement is the problem. All “good” announcements are posted with dates before the year 2015. If I put the date to any date in 2015 or 2016, that announcement would break the page.

I don’t know what’s the deal, but if I don’t change the date at all and publish an announcement with today’s date, it is okay.

I am confused :)) Can you solve this for me?

    Hey Miram,

    Thank you for the report.

What is the date format that you have set inside of ‘Settings > General > Date Format’? What is the value in the last input field next to custom? Even if it’s not selected it is still relevant and is what’s used to display the date.

If I can replicate the issue I think I can come up with a fix for it.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hey Evan,
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly.

    It’s F j, Y – both selected and custom. Hope it helps.

    I had the same error!

I had three posts in the summer in 2015. As soon as I add an announcement of 15 august it crashes as described before.

    I used ‘jS F Y’

I believe this has to do with international dates but I can’t seem to pinpoint what is going wrong on my end. I am going to take a look into this in detail this weekend, and re-work how the dates are formatted stored etc. hopefully that will resolve things.

    Thanks,
    Evan
