• Description states one of the key features is (so in the free available version) that:
Search posts that have specific custom fields or search by metadata.
It also shows on the screen shot. After installation I found out it’s only available in the Pro version ??

Please provide functionality or adapt key features bullets and tags (there are more features named that are not available in the free version).

    Hi there @barbarbox,

In the description we mention that you can search posts that have specific custom fields or search by meta data which is true.

Then in the Pro bullet points we mention the option whereby you can exclude speciifc custom fields/meta data.

This is the key difference, in free. You can only set what data to include for that certain type, in Pro, you can set includes and excludes for that data set.

We’d be more than happy to help if you have any problems, or if options are incorrectly showing as locked when they shouldn’t be, please open a new topic here https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/add-search-to-menu/ and we’d be happy to assist. ??

    Thanks!

Note to Mods; modlook added, due to inaccurate review, that mentions one specific feature being locked, when it is actually included as mentioned in the readme file.

We don’t remove reviews because someone may have made a mistake. Also a good reply from you is a better outcome than removing a review that you deem inaccurate.

Demonstrate this please in the free version.

Search posts that have specific custom fields or search by metadata.

I mean, just walk it through in words. You don’t have to screenshot but that may help.

Thanks Jan, noted for the future. ??

@barbarbox, please follow the below to get this setup as needed and of course if you need any help, just open a topic. ??

    1) First of all, you’ll need to ensure that you have enabled the post type that has the custom field or metadata you want to search. This is done via Ivory Search > Search Forms > Edit > Includes > Post Types. In this post type accordion, set the post type you want to search, such as products, listings etc.

    Please see this screenshot; https://d.pr/i/EHQuaD

    2) Once that is done, you can then set the custom field to search. This is done via Custom Fields on the same page as above. For example here we can see the total_sales custom field to include in the search.

Any questions at all, let us know. Thanks!
