Description field – cannot right click and paste

Could it be the theme/something else installed?

Okay, I just found something.

If I click in the first line of the box, it will give me the option to paste. If I click anywhere else -inside of the box-, it will give me these options: https://csidb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Untitled-2-copy.png

I get the same thing actually – in admin too (uses the same editor).

Doesn’t look like it’s something I can workaround. You could override the template file (https://wpjobmanager.com/document/template-overrides/) and add a paste button though – looks like tinymce has a plugin for it https://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/plugin:paste

Thanks for your attention to the matter, Mike! I’ve submitted this question to their forum. Hopefully they’ll have it resolved. I’ll look into that plugin too.

Figured out a work around (posting it to benefit future readers)

If you open up Inspect Element, you will notice that the description box is in an iFrame. Add height:100%; to the body tag AND html and it will allow you to right click>paste anywhere in the box.

How can you style this from outside of the iframe?

I’ve been trying to find that out. I’m about to rip my hair out lol. Any ideas?

Is there any way to change the description box and make it raw text instead of rich text?

Okay, this is what I did to get around it.

Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/includes/forms

Open “class-wp-job-manager-form-submit-job.php”

Find “job_description”

Change type from “wp_editor” to “textarea”.

This is not an ideal solution, since it will be overridden when you update the plugin, but it will do for now.
