description/text-content missing when importing podcast episodes

    On podcast episodes since September the description/text-content ist missing when imported as post.
    This is our rss-feed: https://anchor.fm/s/1a5eea60/podcast/rss

    The used content tag is “content:encrypted” as both other options don’t work -> episodes are not imported.
    This setting worked fine though for all episodes until August.

    Hi Samuel,

    Thanks for using our plugin and for reaching out!
    Have you changed something within the plugin’s settings since?

    Looks like you don’t have the <content:encoded> tag within your feed, so you’ll need to replace that with the <description> tag instead. You can edit your existing import and do that.

    Note that previously imported posts won’t get updated, so you’ll need to remove those (also from the trash) and wait until the import runs again.

    You can also add those manually if it’s just a couple of episodes.

    Thanks, it seems to work with the <description> tag now!
    That is weird because as I said it used to not import episodes when set to <description> tag.

    That’s weird about the episodes not importing, let me know if you run into that again.

    Okay, apparently it is not completely resolved yet…
    I have set the plugin to <description> tag and it’s NOT importing the newest episode.
    If I set it to <content:encrypted> it DOES import the newest episode but without the text description!

    Could you please take another look?
    I set it to <content:encrypted> not so it does import the newest episode but it does it without the text description.
    When using <description> tag it is not importing the newest episode…

    Hi,

    We just released an update a couple of days ago that should resolve this issue.
    If you’re still having trouble – please delete the current scheduled import and create a new one.

    Also, please don’t select any content type, leave the select box blank.

    I updated the plugin but still can’t get it to work.
    No matter what option I chose for content type (including no selection), it shows “imported 2 shows of 38”, but they don’t show up as posts…

    My settings:

    Post Type: Post
    Post Status: Publish
    Ongoing Import: YES
    Import Episode Featured Images: YES
    Use an embed audio player instead of the default WordPress player: NO
    Imported Content Tag: Tried all of them, including “no selection”

    Your help is greatly appreciated! ??

    I suspect that is because you already have those episodes within your site (i.e. – posts with the same title, either published, draft or trashed)

    Please try to check that and see if it makes any difference.

    Otherwise please contact us via email and send us the login details – we’ll check that out further.
