• Hello,

This is the website with the problem.
    https://garymarshdesign.com/architecture-outdoor-living/decks-porches/

When I navigate left/right between images in the lightbox after clicking a thumbnail, the description drops down while switching between images. It’s very strange and distracting from the images. This only happens on images for which I’ve put a description. Please advise how this problem can be remedied.

Here’s a screenshot of the problem:

You can see that the arrows have been pushed down, the description is gone, and the frame drops off the bottom of the page during the transition period. This screenshot was taken right in the middle of switching between two images, and the image displayed is the second image.

This is what it looks like after it finishes switching between images (which is what it’s supposed to look like throughout the whole process – only the image and text should change):

The bottom part of the lightbox frame should not be dropping down like this during transition. Please try it out on the website above and you can see the problem. Again, it only happens on images that have descriptions – which I’m hoping to implement on every image.

    Thank you!

    Brandon

@bernst2008 – I’m seeing the effect you are describing and this does not happen on all sites. I am thinking since you have already some additional JavaScript / CSS running on our site that are affecting images being displayed (zooming on the thumbnails) there may be something that is creating this effect you are seeing. Have you checked if this is the case?

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it!

The JS should have nothing to do with it. I have customized the CSS slightly, but the problem occurs even when removing the customizations and using the default description design. Is there anything else it could be?

@bernst2008 – The only other thing that comes to mind is your images are larger than the viewport where the Lightbox is displaying them forcing them to be resized before displaying the caption.

This is not normally as obvious (and it is slightly improved on your site from last time I looked) but most likely what is being seen. You might consider making the images a bit smaller to see if that helps with the effect.
