I decided to update. Well, all content and design was gone. Like i installed a new plugin and i could start from stratch.
Well no worries, with my backup it was back in 10 minutes. So i keep using an old version and do not update.

I have about 7 clients using this Page Builder. I cannot redo al websites again.
So i hope you can achieve to create a version that keeps all content intact just as with updating any plugin.

I like the pagebuilder very much. I have some time left to decide so i really hope you will fix this or give a way to recover old content because otherwise i really have to switch and take a lot of hours as a loss. I cannot sell this to a client.

So take your time, i will stick to the plugin, but fix it. Also start communicating more on your website and channels. We do not hate bad news, we want to be involved and know when you think you gonna fix this. This will make it easier to inform clients because we really look like idiots if we have no answer.

Good luck mates and keep us informed.

    Wil

We currently only have one known issue with version 3.2.7 so if the following is unrelated to your issue, I’d like to know more so we can look at it.

Right now, it is not possible anymore to embed custom HTML code containing <iframe> tags in modules like Rich Text Editor module or HTML module that you’d see when users need to embed small widgets displaying dynamic content on their page. The workaround is to use the HTML block of the Nimble Builder’s WordPress Widget module for this type of custom HTML snippets. See image:
    https://ibb.co/x1xSwNX`

It seems unlike to me that this is your issue given that it sounds like your entire page went blank. Without knowing more, it is hard for me to say, but a similar phenomena can happen if the Nimble Builder custom template is selected instead of the default template. See link for how to check/change, if this is your issue.

@nikeο I found another issue… I’m using a photo gallery in page builger with 8 images (2 rows X 4 images per row).
In mobile mode the images do not render, i see some of them with huge gaps inside cause some of them missing.. In desktop everything Ok. Please check

Might need to connect with you individually so we can dig into your versions and settings, but this is almost always a result of one of these:

Browser cache/history. If you clear cache, use a different device, and use a different browser, do you observe the same issue?

If you use a server cache or cache plugin, can you clear cache content and disable caching and reproduce? (Eg. I’ve seen this with Lightspeed Cache)

Can you reproduce with third party plugins disabled? If not, can you add them back one at a time to see if there is a plugin conflict?

@nikeo Thank you for quick response and support. Before update had no issues.
The post has many building modules, and the only problem i have is with galleries
(i use 2 of them, one with 6 and one with 15).I deleted the previous and created new galleries but nothing changed.
Cleared cache several times but still there the problem.
When load i see some of the images. Pressing F5 loads again with some more, etc etc
Now i see it also in desktop mode.
I had and 4 youtube videos. if i change the mobile view from portrait to landscape stops showing
I’ve started to create a new version of the post without the builder cause this is a critical period for my school’s project that depends on it.
This is the behaviour for both galleries in the same post:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1obCHuqDH_MLJ-r9snryMTfBmSu2cleXe/view?usp=sharing

I had the same problem with both iframes and some javascript. The widget workaround resolved both, but it is an ugly hack. Please post here and to the blog when this is resolved.

    IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I had one page with an iframe in the NB HTML module and another page with some javascript. Both were broken after updating the NB plugin.

I set up the iframe in NB Widget #1 using your workaround and it seemed OK. Then I set up the javascript in NB widget #2. First, it appeared twice on the page. Second, when I went back to the widget to edit it, the code was duplicated. Third, when I deleted the dublicate code block, it was impossible to save the result. Fourth, the code in widget block #1 was overwritten by the javascript I had added to widget block #2, so the result was on both pages.

I edited block #1 to restore the iframe, and THAT code was duplicated to block #1.

Also, once I added the Nimble widget with javascript, the Nimble editing interface broke on that page. Now when I try to edit my page with NB, it opens in the Customizr and the sections are there, but the “selection frames” for each section/column/module with the associated options are not visible.

I have the same problem like @wilsmithwp!!!
html content is gone (I decided to embed some video and audio files via code) and I am not able to work on my content in the backend!!!
I’ve been on the phone for the last couple of hours with clients, have to tell them that I can’t fix it – it is a DESASTER! I cannot rebuild eight wordpress pages from the scratch. PLEASE HELP!!! I’d like to send the systm info of my most important client, where can I send it to???

PS. Is the PRO Version acting the same? Any experiences anyone?

@romanasommerspross are you using iframes? If so, the way to work around the issue right now is to add the snippet via the WordPress widget, rather than through one of the other options.
    Eg. https://ibb.co/x1xSwNX

Most users have found that workaround satisfactory, although I see rcharbonxx has an issue that I am currently trying to replicate. Give it a try and let me know your results.

@nikeo Thankyou for your response, but the problem is that I am not able any more to use the nimble builder interface (on NONE of the pages) – it doesn’t allow me to work on the content. Which old version of nimble builder would you recommend to install, which is safe?

Sounds like @romanasommerspross has the same problem that I do re the editing interface.
One additional workaround which depends highly on your page structure:
I found that I can click on a module and see the content in the Customizr, then I can copy it to an HTML block in the native Gutenberg editor. This assumes that you have WP5.9 installed, and that your page content is such that the native block will line up properly with the non-HTML Nimble content. Luckily, my HTML content was at the end of my page.

I also found that for my non-editable page, I can export it from Nimble, import it to a new page, and at first the page is editibale (though once I save it, that went away). No idea whether that’s repeatable, but if you’re desperate enough….

@rcharbonxx Thankyou so much for your input! Yes, funny thing that the editibilty (is that a word??) seems to come and go as it likes. When I could grab an editible moment I switched to @nikeo solution of “Widget area” and that seems to work for the moment. Not in all browers (I have the newest versions), but at least in Chrome and Edge it seems to work.

Sorry, had no time to answer.

But no, i am not using iframes. I also don’t use Gutenberg blocks, i use the classic editor and classic widgets.

I still have the same problem.

If it was only to switch some content and applying it in another way, it would be no problem, but my content is just gone and i cannot get it back after update so i cannot work on it or try to replace anything, it is just gone, although it must be in the database.

I also use a multi-site. That worked fine with the old versions.

So what’s the status? It’s been a week with no updates.

I also had no reply on my last post here and i even started this discussion. I can give you the login details so you can look for yourself at a certain moment. If I know the time, i can put a backup back if you cannot find it but altered the website, so, all no problem. But we need an advice here, a solution. I already had to tell all my clients to not update the plugin anymore, because content will be gone. I tested it, and it is really gone, as far as I can see.
Thanks again, hope you have a solution.

    1. Some have asked about going back to an older version. If you’d like, 3.2.32 is my suggestion from December, as that pre-dates the changes we had to make for security.
    2. If any of you are users of the pro version, please use the contact method on the website so that we can dive deeper into your issue and get a better look at the actual problem you’re experiencing.
    3. There are several different issues described in this thread. Right now there are some workarounds to some of the problems, but we are looking at a wider solution.
