This theme seems to have a design flaw when scaling to mobile. It stretches or something and includes an extra bar to the righthand side that overlaps my content (particularly the site header). Does anyone have a fix for this? I haven’t added any custom padding or margins, but I’m not sure how to adjust to compensate.

    Here’s a screenshot of what’s happening: https://imgur.com/ag7Xf74

The website I’m working with is https://www.gretchenkeillor.com.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks for the screenshot – I see the same issue with this site on my iPhone 5s, OS 8.3, running Safari.

I tested both Illustratr demos on my iPhone and do not see the issue:

    https://illustratrdemo.wordpress.com/

    https://wp-themes.com/illustratr/

This means that the problem could be related to a number of different things that need to be ruled out:

    – did you add any custom CSS? If so, temporarily remove it. If the issue disappears, add it back bit by bit to find the culprit.
    – did you modify any theme files? If so, back up your files, restore a fresh copy of Illustratr and see if that solves the issue. If it does, then gradually move your changes over to a child theme, testing the site between each change to find the culprit.
    – if custom CSS or theme edits aren’t the culprit, try deactivating all your plugins temporarily. If the issue goes away, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes.

Kathryn, thanks for the assistance again. It turned out that it was a custom CSS addition I had thrown in there, so I’ve adjusted it now. Thanks!

    Great, glad you’ve solved it!
