• Hi,
Today we have another CMS and we are planing for a change to WP. I have some questions about how to organize and make the structure in a good way, witch concepts to use in WP.

    We have:
    Ordinary pages (Pages in WP)
    News (Posts in WP)
Then we have some “info-pages” with contact info and texts about different attractions including some photos. I would be glad if it may be possible to not have these info-pages as ordinary WP pages, as i would also collect them in a list on one page. They do also have a geographical location, witch will be showed by some Google Maps-plugin. But Here it would be cool if we could collect all the coordinates and the info-pages onto one Map.

Can I get some advice from a talented WP developer/integrator?

    Br,
    Sam

    Hi,
    Don’t anyone have any idea?
Or am I in the wrong subject?

I think I would keep your info-pages as WP but make a custom template for them

Okay, I have found some useful things.
But one thing I want to do is:
I want to have detailed info WP-Page, with contact info. And have some special fields for Telephone, email, etc…

And then I want to have a Page that Lists all it’s child’s pages, with detailed info.

Is it the meta-data I have to use, or how do I add fields for this?

The detail page info I want the editor to fill in will be:

    [Title] – Standard WP Title
    [Content] – Standard WP Content
    [URL] – Custom
    [Email] – Custom
    [Phone] – Custom

Then I will create a page template to display it as:

    Title
    Content
    ———- Info box ————
    Title
    URL
    Email
    Phone
——- End of info box ———

So the goal I want to reach is to simplify for the editor, so I don’t have to manually create the info-box on every page, using cut n’ paste. Instead just collect the data.
