You could right-click your mouse and open “Inspect” – from there you can identify CSS classes and makes changes accordingly. Try adding the following code to your theme’s style.css file to address the button text issue:

#tribe-bar-form .tribe-bar-submit input[type=submit] {
-webkit-appearance: button;
background: #666;
background-image: none;
border: none;
border-radius: 0;
color: #fff;
font-size: 10px;
height: auto;
letter-spacing: 0;
line-height: 20px;
padding: 10px;
width: 100%;
font-weight: 300;
}
