• Life has been hectic and changeable for the last year or so, but I have finally freed up enough time to give my food blog a big overhaul and donate more time to updating it.

A bit of a design polish seemed like a good place to start, so that’s what I’ve done/am doing.

I have tried to address all of the issues that people had with the pages when I last posted it on here about a year ago. The archive page has undergone the biggest change.

I’ve been looking at analytics stats and the fact is that I get very very few visitors who use IE6 or below, and very very few who use a low screen res. So, since this isn’t a commercial site, I’ve taken the decision to stop worrying about IE6 and below and to increase the site width.

Please check out the front page, a section (category) page and an individual post and let me know what you think of the design – does everything work?

I’m using a Mac and don’t have much access to a Windows PC, so reports on how it looks in IE7/8 would be really appreciated.

    Thanks a lot.

I’ve had a major design polish at https://johnonfood.com

I think it addresses all of the problems raised last time it was posted on here.

Since the site is non commercial, and after looking at visitor stats, I’ve decided not to bother about support for IE6 and to widen the design.

Improvements are still ongoing, but since I don’t have access to a Windows PC, I’d love to know how it is working in IE7/8.

Please take a look at a section (category) and single post page as well as just the front page.

    Thanks a lot.
