I wish to design an accounting website for a financial organisation in Nigeria and the website will contain the basic dashboard where registered user will manage and view the history of their investment. Dashboard will consist the following element:

My Profile – Consists basic Bio data of registrant and ability to update their profile and save.
Account – Show initial investment deposit (plus upgrade)
Profit – Displays current accrued profits and history on monthly basis
Upgrade – Ability to add to initial investment deposit (will contains payment gateway)
Message – Ability to send message/complains/feedback to Admin.
    – Response to private messages/complaints and general information will be displayed here.

I will appreciate you suggest appropriate Theme/Plugin that best perform this operations and or any other valuable information that will guide me in achieving this project.

    Many thanks.

  • Hello,

What you’ve described is a full software development project, and I’m afraid what you’re asking for is WAY BEYOND the scope of what can be provided in a free product support forum.

And while it might be possible to pull this off on top of WordPress, I highly doubt that you’re going to find a ready-made plugin that can serve your client’s needs.

    My honest-to-goodness advice:

    1) If you have the budget, hire a developer to build this for you. As you work with a qualified developer, you’ll quickly get to understand that you’re currently looking at a tiny tip of the iceberg as far as the scope of this project is concerned.

(Building a custom solution for a line-of-business application is not my preferred approach, as I’ve seen far too many business folks spend a ton of money on building custom software that either never gets finished, or gets abandoned very quickly due to high maintenance costs (as they need to get the developer for every little tweak.)

    2) Use existing software made specifically to serve the needs of banking and financial institutions. If your client is a microfinance business, you can find several EXCELLENT microfinance software out there that are 100% free. Here are just a couple of them:

    OpenCBS (desktop/LAN version is 100% free): https://opencbs.com/

Mifos (originally developed by Grameen Foundation, 100% free and powers much of the non-profit microfinance industry): https://mifos.org/mifos-x/

Cyclos (has all the core banking features, but can also be used for time banking aka barter trading, or as local currency. Both downloadable and hosted versions are 100% free for up to 300 users, and even the paid upgrades very affordable): https://www.cyclos.org/

    Good luck with your project!
