Designing the wordpress 2019 theme

Hi, I’m just designing my new website, and I have installed the wordpress 2019 free theme.

I am having trouble with uploading my full size logo. After choosing the logo, I am asked to crop the logo, and I cannot crop it because, I will lose the design. There is no option to skip crop. My logo is small, so it actually doesn’t require cropping. I had no issues with my logo in wordpress 2017 theme just a week back. But after installing 2019 theme, it seems to be a problem.

I also want to know how can I add the social media share buttons script to the header/footer. The script is supposedly posted in either the header or the footer. I had installed a header footer plugin for 2017 theme to get the share buttons, but it didn’t work in that theme. I am not sure how to do that in the 2019 theme.
