Desktop fav not as crisp/clear as before

i was using All in One Favicon and had a window open. opened another window and installed RealFav but i used photoshop to enlarge to 260×260 then saved as png 24. refreshing i can see the RealFav in firefox/mac is substantially blurry/not clear compared to old All in One Fav. do you have a recommendation for RealFav optimal file format to save as, using photoshop? and there’s compression options too.
