• Current WP, Twentysixteen child theme. The built-in mobile menu for the theme doesn’t seem very good, so I tried to install SlickNav.

SlickNav definitely works. It installs a new hamburger menu as expected, but does NOT hide the default mobile menu, which is not working properly for me.

I have experimented with toggling the Display Desktop Menu, “leave at block” and “none”, but neither setting results in SlickNav hiding the default theme mobile menu.

    Ideas?

Actually – I found the problem! Not only did I need to specify the standard menu to replace (in this case, #menu-main-menu), but I ALSO needed to specify the little “hamburger-style” default mobile menu toggle that was just a small box with the word “Menu” inside. (in this case, #menu-toggle).
