desperate now – help needed with simple query…?

  • Hi – can anyone help with this? I’m looking to return the creation date of the most recent post, something like:

    check last post
    return date/time
    display date time

    I want to stick a simple ‘site last updated on X’ on my homepage. This seems simple enough but I can’t find any clues as to how to make it work..

    Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
