“destination already exists” message

    Hello, where is the support?

    This request is a day old.

    I believe that error indicates that you already have a folder called \wordpress\wp-content\plugins\cbnet-ping-optimizer.

    You can either:

    1) Go to Manage Plugins in your Admin UI, and see if the cbnet Ping Optimizer plugin is already installed, or

    2) Delete the \wordpress\wp-content\plugins\cbnet-ping-optimizer folder, and attempt the install again.

    I have the same problem with a different plugin. When I try to install it I’m told that the destination folder already exists. /home2/ridgways/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mediaplayer/

    The plugin no longer shows in the plugins page so can’t be deleted from there as is suggested by chipbennett…

    How do I find the directory listed and how do I delete it… This is one of two plugins I’m having the same problem with.

    Access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to the /home2/ridgways/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ directory and delete the /mediaplayer/ directory.

    I also have the same problem with two other plugins…

    There is no folder to delete via FTP and no plugin to deaktivate/delete via WP admin

    any ideas?
