Details info box on plugins never works

  • Before adding any plugin, I want to know something about it. But clicking the Details link next to the Install link almost never produces information, even if I wait a minute. So I have to install the stupid pluginn then figure out how it works before I decide its junk and I don’t want it.

    Read the post. ANY plugin. All plugins. Every plugin. 100% of plugins. The entire set of www.ads-software.com plugins.

    You know when you go to find a plugin?

    And you find a plug in that you want?

    So you click the plug-in details window?

    And up pop a black box?

    And the black box doesn’t have anything in it?

    That’s what happens. Like it says in my post.

    Never seen that. Has it worked previously? Does it do this with no active plugins active and also with the default theme?

    Weird. Turned off all the plugins on one site, and no luck.

    But another site with tons of plugins active, works fine. A third site doesn’t work.

    Instead of popups, it would be nice to just have a link.

    What’s the difference between the sites? Are they on the same host? Same server? Same theme? On the sites where it is not working did you try it with the default theme temporarily active?

    Looks like the culprit is the theme Magazine Basic. Site works fine otherwise so I guess I’ll just leave it. Nice to know the popups work in other themes though. Thanks for your help.
