detectRetina and maxZoom = no tiles

When detect retina option is enabled and you zoom in into the max zoom, on my site, no tiles will be shown. Soon as detect retina option is disabled, the max zoom works, but the map will then be blurry on retina devices. I found some threads on github about this issue: https://github.com/Leaflet/Leaflet/issues/6059 but I don’t really know how to implement the given workarounds by myself. This happens regardless of the max-zoom setting in the leaflet map settings screen. Could you give a look into this? Thank you, also for putting leaflet maps into shortcodes.
