• Hello,

I’m the developer of Sprout Invoices and a few users are having issues with the auto-redirecting occurring with Redirection.

I believe if you add a filter to can_monitor_post so that users can hook into to send a false for all SI post_types we would be all set.

    Thank you.

  • I’ll chime in as one of those users. Took me a while to figure out what was happening, but thanks to Dan he was able to let me know that redirects were being created overriding sprout invoices features. I’d like to be able to continue using redirection, but sprout invoices plugin is more important to me than this plugin. So until it’s resolved, I’ve disabled this plugin.

2.6.1 will have some filters in that should be useful. It’d be nice if the plugin didn’t create spurious redirects though, so if you have something reproducible and can drop it into a Github ticket (https://github.com/johngodley/redirection) then that would be appreciated – I’ll try and fix it in the plugin itself.

    Hello John,

Is there a ticket that you have in mind that you would like me to add to? Or create a new one?

Also, I wouldn’t say SI creates “spurious” redirects. It’s simply that the slug is generated using the filter wp_unique_post_slug, which IMO is the correct way to handle that type of functionality.

    Thank you!
