    Hello,

    A client of mine was having an issue where the navigational dots on their slider kept disappearing, and the autoplay was disengaged. After a lot of testing, I determined that keeping the developer options all toggled on (Print CSS, Print JS, No Conflict Mode) fixed the problem.

    However, somehow those settings keep getting toggled off intermittently, and I’m not sure how. This causes the slideshow to break again as before. The client assures me that they did not change the settings, though of course I can’t prove that. Has anybody else experienced this issue?

    We’ve got a troubleshooting guide here: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/troubleshooting/. This issue sounds like it could possibly be Step 7. We’ve seen the occasional admin area interference from security plugins.

    Well, the only security tools we’re using are built into our ongoing management software, which is working beautifully for all of our other clients. I did notice this client had brute force protection activated through Jetpack, which is redundant given what we have in place, so I deactivated that. Hopefully that does the trick, but of course I won’t know until the settings get toggled off again. Any other thoughts in case that happens again?

    It’s difficult to give much more advice without more details. And we’ve not had any more reports of this issue.

    It might be something to monitor. You can see if this continues and perhaps look for a pattern. For example, does it happen when the MetaSlider plugin is updated (normally once per month)?
