• The folks at Jigoshop (Jigowatt?) seem to be stuck between two plugins – the legacy Jigoshop 1.x, and this one, a.k.a. Jigoshop eCommerce.

I appreciate them putting together a “Migration guide”, however one of the major pain-points of this version is integration with themes. Their website has documentation for their action hooks, however all the hooks listed are for the 1.x version.

As a net result, when an unsuspecting user switches to Jigoshop eCommerce and performs all the activities documented in the guide, all of a sudden that person is left with mismatched HTML tags because the old action hooks no longer exist … and there is no means to figure out what the new hooks are without digging into their code.

  • Yes I’d second that – when I first saw the notification I assumed it was much more developed than it is. I am developing a number of sites at the moment and didn’t want to have to redevelop them for v2, but it looks like v2 is probably 6 months away if not more.

In defence of the Jigoshop folks, their support has been really helpful and I think v2 is going to be fantastic!

    Hi @adhanurdhari,

Thanks for pointing it out (a bit of a pity that you have done it as a review, but that’s ok). We have loads of documentation which is ready and some is still in progress, but the most important bit is that we are in a process of syncing the documentation of Jigoahop eCommerce with the live site.

In a week it should be ready. I will update you when it’s done.
