Diagrams show 0 visitors on 2014-12-24 despite several hits in Real-Time Log

The 30-days diagram on both the Dashboard and under Overview shows zero visits and zero IPs for 2014-12-24 despite there existing a normal number of visitors for that day (visible when looking at the DB or the Real-Time Log for that day). The days before and after that day appear completely normal. 2014-12-26 again shows zero visits in the diagram, but several in the log. How are the stats for the diagram selected?
