Never mind!! Just fixed it xDDD

BUT, i have another doubt now:

Is it possible to put a “Read more” link too?? Just to make it more obvious to the reader.

    Thanks for the plugin!!

Guds what did you do to fix it?

I am having the same issue you described above, I am running the same versions. I installed as described and it is doing nothing.

    Thanks!

    what i did was this:

Replaced “the_content” for “the_excerpt” in the index.php code. Just that and the plugin started working normally.

    Hope it works for you!

YES! it did!! I got so frustrated last night with it I had deactivated it, but went ahead and re-activated it, tried your fix and it does now.

However now my titles (h1) on each excerpt are running up into the previous image thumbnail.

I could add space via the margin in where h1 displays, but that isn’t really a clean fix. I can’t figure out a way to write code to tell h1 that its position should be relative the thumbnail, rather than the excerpt.

As an answer to your question, the excerpt display is defaulting to wordpress’s excerpt of 55 words and their ending of it […]
you can add code to your function.php file of your child theme

    scroll down to the heading:
Displaying a “more…” link when using the the_excerpt()

    hope that helps!
