First off, I am really sorry to hear you had a tough time getting it to work.
We offer free support for the plugin and we wish you would have posted a support thread here so we could have helped you with this situation.
We reply to all support threads and help users asap. Would you like to do that now? If you would, please provide a bit more information. For example: what theme are you using and a screenshot with the HTML added in step 1 and step 2 of Remove Footer Credits? We will try to replicate this on our end.
At the moment, we’ve tested it with a bunch of free themes and so far it works on almost all of them. If you would like to give us the chance to we would be more than happy helping you debugging this and helping out.
We spent a lot of time developing and supporting this plugin for free and it can be discouraging to see such a review without giving us the chance to investigate the situation or without providing any details.
