In two websites I maintain the Jetpack Portfolio disappeared since the latest update. Did Jetpack stop with the portfolio? I didn’t read any announcement but I don’t see it in my dashboard any more and get a page not found error in the front-end

I uploaded a back-up from two weeks ago and now the portfolio’s are back. But it remains stange that they suddenly disappeared. On the Jetpack website the portfolio isn’t mentioned any more, so my question stays open: has Jetpack stopped with the portfolio?

    Hi @tastymouse

The Portfolio feature is still there. It may be that the option got toggled off unintentionally? Possibly from an update. You can also check to see if it is turned on in your dashboard by going to:

Jetpack > Settings > Writing and scrolling down to the Custom content types section.

Hi @bruceallen, good to hear the Portfolio feature is still there. The option was enabled. So something else must have gone wrong.

On one site I changed the portfolio items in regular posts, on the other one I wait for a while and see if a new version of Jetpack does work okay, for now I’ll keep the older version.

    Hi there, @tastymouse,

Your conservative choice seems like the best one to ensure your site looks expected. However, we never recommend keeping outdated versions of any plugins, mostly for security purposes.

You could consider creating a staging site that mirrors your production site, updating Jetpack there, and seeing if the Portfolio disappears again. If that’s so, we have a safe place to investigate without affecting your production site.

Hope that is something that can help fix this hiccup!
