Upgraded to 1.1. Had the same issue with index.php but reactivating plug-in fixed that.

But did the url structure change? I used to have it at info.photomodeler.com/kb but now /blog has been added to url. Our KB is now at info.photomodeler.com/blog/kb. Can that be changed back?

We have links to the original url but have set up a redirect for now. Also in the breadcrumbs all the links work except the /kb one. Instead of going to info.photomodeler.com/blog/kb it goes to info.photomodeler.com/kb (note you can’t see that because I have redirect on but if you hover over the Kb in the breadcrumb you can see the link it will go to).

That’s odd. No, the slug should not have changed. Noone else has reported that (yet)…

+ What happens if you go to the knowledgebase Page and check the permalink there? Does it include and can you remove the extra /blog bit?

+ What is set as the base slug in the WP Knowledebase settings? Does it include and can you remove the extra /blog bit there?

+ Is your site running in a subdirectory called /blog or use a site URL including the /blog bit or any other reason you can imagine that it might randomly have decided to add that?

These are settings I could find:

Under Settings / Permalinks / Common Settings
    Custom Structure: https://info.photomodeler.com/blog/%postname%/

    Under Knowledgebase / Settings
    Knowledge base Slug: kb

The categories and kb articles etc have links that start with info.photomodeler.com/blog/kb/

The upgrade to 1.1 did change something as the home page used to exist at info.photomodeler.com/kb/.

I like the kb to exist at url where it used to before the upgrade
    info.photomodeler.com/kb/
    instead of the new
    info.photomodeler.com/blog/kb/

Perhaps the 1.1 version looks at the permalink structure in wp settings when it did not before?

I’d like my blog posts to be at
    /blog/
and the kb to be at
    /kb/

    Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Alan

This explains it. In the permalink structure you are telling it to include that extra /blog/ bit. If you don’t want to use that, remove /blog/ so it looks like https://info.photomodeler.com/%postname%/

On that wordpress site we host a blog and the kb. Is it possible to have the blog at /blog/ and the kb at /kb/ ?

Perhaps a /%category%/%postname%/ in permalink settings, then assign posts to a category called “Blog” with a ‘blog’ slug.

Or if you mean just the blog archive page just name that Page “Blog” with a ‘blog’ slug and make it the page that displays posts. Single Posts will follow whatever permalink structure you have set.

Thanks. We can close this now.

I’d like to submit one suggestion for future development:
    * Have KB have its own permalink setting – so the kb root, kb articles and categories etc can all be at their own permalink – independent of whatever the site has set up for blog postings and pages permalink. E.g. for kb only:
    – home at /kb/
    – catagories at /kb/category/cat_name
    – pages at /kb/article_name

    Thanks
    Alan
