Did the Photo Gallery plugin version number go backward?

    My Photo Gallery plugin (on a live web site) has version 2.5.11. There is a warning
    Warning: Attempt to read property “images_directory” on null in C:\Users\franc\LocalSites\cac1\app\public\wp-content\plugins\photo-gallery\framework\BWGOptions.php on line 316

    My first question is: how come my installed version is 2.5.11 and when I look at the latest plugin on www.ads-software.com it shows version 1.8.31?? Did someone decide to move the version number backward at some point in time? The actual plugin PHP files seem to date from July 13 2022, so the code is 2 years old. On my site, when I click on the plugin “Show details” link, I brings me to the Photo Gallery by 10Web page, with version 1.8.31!
