Did WP v5.8.1 Break Dates?
-
I just published my first new post (titled “7 RV Maintenance Tasks You Can Easily Do Yourself”) since my site was updated to v5.8.1. I had scheduled it to automatically publish this morning (Sept 15, 2021) at 4:45AM Pacific Time. It didn’t publish.
At about 6:05AM PT, I edited the post and changed the scheduled publish time to 3:45AM. The “Schedule” button changed to “Publish” and I manually published the post. It’s now live, but it isn’t displaying on my Home page as the first post at the very top (a hero section from my theme that displays the first 5 new posts).
It’s also not displaying in the proper location (i.e. first post in the top left) in the WP Grid Builder grid further down on the home page.
BUT… if you’re LOGGED IN to WP, it shows correctly!
Anyone else seeing any similarly weird behavior? I’m thinking that the WP5.8.1 update must have done something to change the way date-times are stored/retrieved and it’s messing things up… but I’m no expert. ??
