Did you start using jQuery in a recent release?

  • The plugin now apparently also loads jQuery (which it didn’t do before). Why is this happening as it slows down the site? Note that not all themes use jQuery (eg Twenty Twenty and other modern themes have been specifically designed to avoid jQuery). Could you please go back to not forcing it to be loaded?

    Thank you for making this support request. Your questions have inspired me to create an enhancement request on the CoBlocks GitHub to request the eventual removal of jQuery as a dependency. This change will help us to improve load times by minimizing the additional scripts that need to load.     Hi Anthony, many thanks for taking the initiative on this one — great customer service!!! (Also appreciated that the most recent release already brings down page size by some 50 KB + speeds things up).
