Didn't remove readme file after 4.2.3 automatic update

The only file left is the readme.html file. Checked five different sites, all of them had it after the update ran. One site is using a translation (en_ca). I would really love to get this issue resolved — please help!
The same thing happened after the last automatic update, but I got no reply to this thread.
