Difference between Category Icons and Category Icons Lite?

I’m looking to use your plug in to allow my site admin to maintain a list of icons. I will then change the template code to get/use the icons.

I’m just wondering what the real difference between the two plug-ins? Do they have the same user/admin interface? Do they do things automatically in the front end without me coding (or do both require me to add code to my template)?
