Difference between gallery and portfolio plugins

  • Hi,
    this may sound like a silly question but, what is the difference between a portfolio plugin and a gallery plugin, if there one?

  • A gallery it is just a group of pictures, any pictures. A portfolio can be projects, case studies, movies, etc.

    ok but what is the structural difference, because from what I see in the plugin repository the functionality of both types of plugins seems exactly the same (I could only find one so far, among the portfolio plugins, that allows for including data about a project)

    It depends, you can use a gallery with pictures of your projects as a portfolio or actually make a portfolio with images, description, and files.

    Sure but so far I haven’t identified a plugin that allows you to do that. Do yo know of any?
