Difference between H1 and site title and why do I see both on my post?

I see an H1 tag for ENTRY TITLE for single post
I do not see an H1 tag for SITE TITLE
On “blog page” I see H2 tag for ENTRY TITLE for post and for PAGE TITLE I see H1

You can add this custom CSS on Appearance > Additional CSS > Customize to hide the site title on your blog posts

.single-post .entry-title {
    display: none;
}

If this doesn’t work, your theme probably has a different class name which you can check using inspect element.

Hmm I see… Anyway I can prevent the page title and H1 from appearing together without using code??? I’m new to this so I don’t really want to mess with my code for now…

If you are using page builders such as Elementor, an option to hide the post title might be found in the settings. For Elementor page builder, here is the guide: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-hide-page-titles-in-wordpress/

Another method is to install plugins like Hide Page and Post Title plugin or Title Remover
