Hi @vayu,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Please note that there are mainly two pages that are created when you activate our plugin. One is the job listing page (standard page) which contains the job listing shortcode generated by our plugin, and the other is the jobs archive page (www.example.com/jobs) which is a WordPress generated archive page for jobs. Basically, both list the jobs with the same configurations. But, there are some differences. We have enabled both pages for flexibility and ease of use.
A standard page with a shortcode (Settings > General > Job listing page) allows you to easily configure the job listing page’s content with WordPress editor or other page builders. So this makes setting up your job listing page quickly without any additional customizations.
By default, we have enabled the archive page for the jobs. Archive pages are available for each job specification. So to make a uniform interface, we have enabled the archive pages for jobs. Also, archive pages are helpful if you want to customize them as similar to your theme layout. So, you can override the archive page template from our plugin to your theme for advanced and complete control over the template. Since this is a WordPress-generated one, this page can also be easily configured with other plugins, for example, Yoast SEO.
If you only need the standard page with shortcode added and not the archive pages, you can easily disable the same by checking the ‘Disable the archive page for Job Openings’ option from Job Openings General Settings.
If you only need the archive page and not the job listing page, simply delete the standard page.
