I want to set up an informational search intent keyword landing page for my website. But I don’t know if it works better with page or post.Which is better for receiving informational search intent keyword traffic on wordpress, page or post?

    Hi @mason5666,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You can safely use either Post or Page type to create the landing page and they’ll work absolutely in the same way. Pages and Posts are just how WordPress manages content on the backend of your website and they’re exactly the same for search engines and your website visitors.

If the page is helpful and complies with other ranking factors, it’s likely to rank and attract traffic irrespective of the WordPress post type under which it’s created.

However, since it’s a landing page and not a post/article I’d suggest creating it as a Page instead of a Post to keep things managed on your website’s backend. This would also help you easily differentiate the Pages from blog posts in the long run.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
