differences between captacha protection and second layer of user and password
-
hi,
ninja dude recommands me to uses second password when it’s possible
but i don’t understand why captcha is not as secure. bacause bots cant read them.
i think using captcha + one password secured by ninja is maybe better than a password + a password, even if the first one is stored elsewhere.
why providing captcha if you don’t thin it’s a reliable protection ? if hackers found a technology to try 1 billion passwords per second, having 2 passwords will only delay a little their attack. but having a captcha will stop their robots.
maybe you can offer possibility block accounts after 100 attempts to login (this feature exists on nextcloud).
or maybe a capcha more sophisticated with more than 5 or 6 digits to enter.
my theme came with an embeded plugin i can’t update. wordpress came with multiple security issues. and wordpress should provide a firewall and a antivirus like on any modern os.
my website were attacked in 2018 and wordpress in 100% responsable to come with any protection at all. million of bloggers are not security expert and doesn’t even understand why hacker will be interested in their stuff.
even 2 years later i don’t understand how hacker, like terrorists, can claim their attempt to kill million website and be proud of their attack.
their want hurt google, but they only hurt small company who can’t afford or understand security.
