Different Appearance of blog on localhost

  • I’ve set up WordPress on a server on my network, and it’s mostly working OK. If I view the blog on the server (that is, browse to https://127.0.0.1/) it looks good, using the standard theme. But if instead I browse from another PC on the network to https://10.208.8.37/, I see the postings, but without the theme – that is, plain text.

    I guess there’s some setting in the Apache config file that controls this, but I can’t work out what.

    Can someone point me in the right direction please?

  • It’s just simply the Options > General settings. You have to define there the 2 URIs where your blog is, and those are stored in the database.
    My guess is, they are 127.0.0.1
    So even seeing from another machine, WP will look for the stylesheet at 127.00.0.1/wp-content/themes/yourtheme/style.css.
