Different backup sizez

I did a full backup from my cPanel. The size of the backup was around 500MB. But the backup(DB backup+Files+Plugins)from Backwpup has size of only 100MB. That’s a huge difference in backup size. Is Backwpup not working properly in my wordpress? Please suggest.
