    I have been trying to add banners to individual pages on my website. I have installed the Advanced Text plugin and placed it in the ‘Page Banner’ widget. I have put the following code in
    <img src="https://www.test.farmweld.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/heritagegatebanner.jpg" alt="heritage gate banner" />
    and also selected the following as the slug:
    products/heritage-style-country-gates/. I also tried /products/heritage-style-country-gates/
    but I can’t get the banner to show. I don’t know if this connected with the update of the theme or not. Any suggestions?

  • For the Advanced text widget, you select the positions below, but do not enter slugs. So if it’s a page with an ID you want to use, you would add the ID of the page or the name of the page. So for yours, you would just enter in:

    heritage-style-country-gates

    You may want to also look at using a plugin called Dynamic Widgets which has a little more learning curve, but it’s extremely flexible. I now use that for my demo sites instead of the Advanced Text Widget.

    Thank you I’ll check out Dynamic Widgets.
