Different Calendar view

Hi there,
i love this plugin, and it works beautifully. My question:

When I show the calendar, it is empty, because the next upcoming event is in five months time. Is there a possibility to let the calendar “jump” to the month with the first upcoming event?

If I show the eventlist, it works. Can I change the link and jump to a single page?
