Different Comment Types

This thread is to suggest a plugin for different comment types. I’m not sure if this is the correct place but here it is anyway.

The types of comments on a site often depend n the content itself, but at the same time there are probably a few common types. For example Q&A, Reviews, Comments and Information.

I think it would be very useful to have a plugin that would allow commenters to choose the “comment type” when posting and then allow the reader to select which type of comment they want to see. The options would be listed along top of the comment list and include all the choices above plus “All”.

In case I am not explaining myself clearly let me use my site as a real example. My site lists PC game modifications and the comments range from “How do I install this?” to a full review. When a reader first visits a post he or she may simply need help installing the modification and it would be very useful if they could click the “Q&A” link and see only those types of comments. Alternatively a reader may only be interested in the reviews .

Perhaps this could evolve into a “Tag” system just for comments.

The “Tags” or “Types” should be chosen by the website admin rather than the commenter but I suppose it doesn’t have to be that way.
