I have read through the README to try and get redis to connect but I’m having an issue.

If I log in to my server, and run wp redis status --allow-root

It works and shows what I have configured in wp-config.php. I can enable and disable redis here, however if it is enabled it uses a wrong config (the one in the browser) and fails.

When I go to the plugin homepage at wp-admin/options-general.php?page=redis-cache#diagnostics I see an older, incorrect config.

Why could those configs be different? I’ve tried flushing wp object cache and uninstalling then reinstalling the plugin, but it has stayed as the incorrect config for many days.
