Different Facebook Image from post

  • Hi!
    Thank you for this wonderful plug in!
    I would like to ask why the facebook post has different image from website post.
    In fact always take one specific image from my site.
    In plug properties i have check the field “Check if you want to include the image in the post while attaching the blog post.” .
    What am i missing here?

    We really appreciate you writing in.

    Facebook recently has done many changes in their API. Now Facebook doesn’t support the image sent from the API while auto-posting and it will fetch the image from the provided link in real time due to which the featured image is no longer shown in the auto-posted link unless it is mentioned in the og: image tag of the site.

    For showing the appropriate image in the facebook while auto-posting, you will need to add og: image tag with proper image URL or you can use any plugins which support the og: image tag.

    You can also debug your site using the open graph debugger for necessary instructions to update og tags in your site.
