different home page widget

I’m trying to figure out how to put different sidebar widgets on the home page than on the rest of the site. I have a text widget on all the inside pages, but on the home page I want a different text widget, and a facebook widget. I get how to put widgets in a sidebar, I guess I need to know how to add another sidebar. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
