    Hi,

I have two WP sites, on the same server, both are WP 5.5.1 and both use CAU 3.7.0.
Each has different an interval list of options, across all of its interval types (i.e. plugins, themes, etc.) – see attached screenshots.

It stays the same even after uninstalling and re-installing CAU at both sites.

    Any idea why this happens?

Also, at both lists the value of “1 Hour” is missing, it is really common, so it will be good if added. Thanks.

And on another site – another list… see at https://ibb.co/7S5Smns
This one does have “Once Hourly”.

Also, thee “Email Notifications” list has a value of “Send Email Interval”, which looks like a logical issue. See image at https://ibb.co/r3j479S

    Hi,

We’re using the default WordPress interval system (with a few customs added) to set the interval, this means that anyone can add their own intervals but this also means that if other plugins come with their own interval they too will show up in this list so the reason you’re seeing different intervals on different sites is probably because you have different plugins on those sites that come with their own intervals.

If you want to add an option for “hourly” to your site be sure to check out our documentation on how to do this yourself: Add more intervals to the options in Companion Auto Update

Thanks, but why do you allow your plugins options to be set by other plugins and you don’t set your own specific and fixed list of options?

@eitanc that’s the way we had it back in the days but many people requested the ability to add their own custom intervals. I’m trying to keep the code of this plugin light while offering the most options so using default WordPress functionality is the best way for me to achieve that. That’s why I chose to do it this way. And while the code does check for weird entries in the list we can’t stop all entries by other plugins.

OK, you are the boss. It just looks so non-standard and untidy.

Also, take a look at what I wrote – “Also, thee “Email Notifications” list has a value of “Send Email Interval”, which looks like a logical issue. See image at https://ibb.co/r3j479S”

I’m working on a way to improve it a lot and make sure that at least the names aren’t as messed up. Check https://codeermeneer.nl/files/preview.png to see a preview ??

    Cool, don’t forget the list’s sort order…
