Different menus in different states wordpress

  • Hey guys i need a help with finding a suitable plugin for a weordpress site that allows users to switch their state/city and they will have specific menues for their state/city.

    This is my setup: I have a worpdress website with 3 set of services. these services available on specific regions/states. For ex: I have set of services which available only to Florida state (menu). then i have services for Nevada state but these services not available on Florida. So i have two separate menus and need to display on appropriate state.

    I used GEO plugin to switch menues but the IPs are not properly working. Some users from florida gets redirected to Nevada because their IP listed as Nevada but they actually from Florida.

    Is there a way to achieve this?

    I’ve not heard about IPs being dedicated to certain states. I guess it’s plausible but over time they might get mixed around a bit and as you’ve seen people will get redirected to the wrong place.

    To get round this issue, have you thought about displaying a popup to first time visitors and asking them to select their state then display the correct menu? Alternatively you could serve a generic set of menu items to avoid the annoying popup and have a banner or something that mentions “Choose your state for local information”.. or whatever you’re selling.

    Thanks for the reply. i was using a premium plugin called GEO Target. Since this IP issue we cant use it anymore.

    Pop up idea is pretty much what i was looking for. but the problem is i wll have to have two sites for each state otherwise i cant have separate menues for each state. thats where im stuck at.

    is there a way to toggle the menues and keep that menu like the language selector on multi language site?

    you know when you click specific language and the content,menu change to that language and the section is remain that way using cookie or cache.
