    Hi friends,

I use this excellent free plugin on my sites for a while.
Can anyone please explain me why are there always higher numbers for Organic search in Pages view than in Sessions view. This behavior is true in all timelines.
    An example from today:
    Pages view –
    channel: 100
    organic:88
    direct: 8
    social:4

    Sessions view-
    user:96
    sessions:100
    visited pages : 109
    organic:80
    ……..etc.
    thx

Is there nobody out there to hint?
    Please!

    Hi,

A session is a group of interactions that take place on your website within a given time frame.

For more details and examples see https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2731565?hl=en.

In the stats posted above, you’re looking at your Organic traffic using two different metrics: pageviews and sessions. By definition a session is a group of interactions, pageviews being among these interactions. It’s absolutely normal to have a higher number of Oragnic traffic reported when comparing a report based on a metric that is actually a group of the other, in a specified time frame.

Thanks a lot Alin for the explanation, but I still don’t understand how can the involving main group(sesions) show smaller number than the group(pages) being involved.
If it was so as you write, I would have no questions, but it is just the opposite to your explanation.
