different re-order for multiple slidewhows possible?

  • Hi,
    first Thanks a lot for this great plug-in!!
    I installed the plugin so far on various sides and it always works well.

    Now there is a site which wanted to have multiple slideshows depending on the page you visit. So far now problem. But as they manage the site themselves now, they ask if it is possible to have more than on re-order tab as they want to sort the slideshows differently but have images they use more than once.
    I am aware that they could make the same slide multiple time and assign them to each slide show by the slug and use just the one re-order.
    But my question here is if there is a possibility to create a second or more re-order options as a more visible version for them.

    That’s a tricky question! The slides are a standard custom post type so you can use any drag and drop sorting plugin that supports CPTs.

    I would recommend trying the Simple Custom Post Order plugin, which supports drag and drop sorting on the main slides view and on any of the slideshow taxonomy term views. Then you can go to the slideshows page in the admin, click the number of slides next to any slideshow and that will take you to a view of just the slides in that slideshow which you can drag and drop.
