Can I direct Post Notifications to different lists depending on what group has premision to see the post? Or maybe based on post category? I have two levels of users and sometimes I want all to see the notification, but sometimes only the higher level users.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @asabo,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You can most definitely create different Post Notification emails with different post categories: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/329-automatic-latest-content-widget

    Hi again,

Thank you for the reply. I see that I can use a latest post widget in my notification email, but does that mean that the email will only be sent to the users who have premission to read the new post? Or will all users get the email, but only the ones with permission will be able to read the post?

    Regards, ?sa

    Hi there @asabo,

    > Or will all users get the email, but only the ones with permission will be able to read the post?

Only publicly available posts will show in the post notification which means if you are protecting posts using a user role manager plugin, a membership plugin or the built-in WordPress post status of “private” the post will not show.
