    I noticed here that the developer said that by adding a hidden input field, with the name set to “category”, and the value set to the category ID, you could have a custom search form on one specific page, limiting the search to one catgeory.

    I don’t quite understand how Relevanssi can create separate search forms on different pages, as it is replacing the standard WordPress search form.

    Can someone explain?

    If you want a search form that searches only categories 10, 14 and 17, you can use the shortcode like this:

    [searchform cats="10,14,17"]

    That’ll print out a search form that’ll only target those three categories.

    You can also create additional search forms manually, you don’t have to use the default WP search form only.
